Palos Fire Protection District
The Palos Fire Protection District serves a community of approximately 25,000 residents across Palos Park, Palos Heights, Orland Park, and surrounding unincorporated areas. With two fully staffed fire stations, the district employs 9-11 paramedic firefighters each day and responds to approximately 3,400 calls annually.
The leadership team, headed by Fire Chief Christopher Courtney, includes a dedicated deputy chief and several battalion chiefs overseeing various shifts. In addition to emergency response, the district actively engages in community initiatives, such as supporting families through Project Fire Buddies, and offers CPR classes for locals.
