Operative Plasterers' & Cement

Established in 1864, The Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association is also known as OPCMIA. It is a labor union that represents plasterers and cement masons in the construction industry in North America. The association undertakes a variety of concrete and plaster projects. The Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association handles commercial, residential, decorative and industrial projects, as well as flatwork and repair of concrete projects. It supports the Exterior Insulation Finish System, which is an elaborate wall system that combines the use of insulating foam board and acrylic polymers into plaster walls. The association is affiliated with the Building Trades Department, Center to Protect Workers Rights, National Drug and Alcohol Program and National Labor College.
