One-O-One Yoga

History

one | o | one yoga opened in 2006 with the mission to bring yoga, in it's depth and breadth, to Carbondale and Southern Illinois. It was founded and is owned by Kathryn Neely, a licensed clinical psychologist, who believed that yoga was an important healing modality, and that the Carbondale area would embrace a yoga studio. In 2006, there were very few trained, local teachers and the few classes offered through fitness centers, ignored the mental, emotional and spiritual components of the practice. Now--7 years later, the local yoga landscape is rich and varied, and one | o | one yoga embraces this diversity and offers classes in numerous yoga styles. We host periodic workshops by local and visiting teachers, including some with national and international reputations. In addition, we are proud to have inspired numerous practitioners who have gone on to become yoga teachers, locally and throughout the nation.

Specialties

We are a yoga studio offering 16 weekly classes in several yoga styles-- vinyasa, hatha, restorative, yin, kundalini, anusara, hot, gentle. You will find a serene atmosphere where students of all ages and levels of fitness are welcome and at home. Drop-ins are welcome.
