The Building & Fire Code Academy is an Illinois State Board of Education-approved private business and vocational school that provides education related to the administration, application and enforcement of building and fire codes. It is owned and operated by B & F Technical Code Services. The Building & Fire Code Academy encompasses all major model codes and standards of construction disciplines. Its programs are planned for several ancillary municipal services, such as zoning, public works and permit coordination. It offers classes pertaining to the Illinois Plumbing Code, National Electrical Code, Life Safety Code and legal aspects of code administration. The Building & Fire Code Academy provides continuing education classes and career programs for inspectors, code officials and design professionals. It maintains a location in Hoffman Estates, Ill.

Established in 1972, OMNI Youth Services is a professional youth service organization that offers support, guidance and intervention to at-risk youths. It serves more than 15,000 individuals. The organization offers counseling, 24-hour crisis intervention, substance abuse prevention and treatment, youth and parent mentoring, family preservation, juvenile justice and youth development services. It conducts psychological tests for a range of mental illnesses, including depression and active suicidal tendencies. The organization s teen parenting program is offered in coordination with the pregnant and parenting teenage wards and offers ongoing family planning, parenting classes, education and employment assistance. Its youth mentor program is a drug, alcohol, tobacco and negative behavior prevention program that provides opportunities for one-to-one mentoring relationships between youths and positive adult volunteers.
