Norridge Park District has been operational for more than 50 years. Located in Norridge, Ill., it provides parks, facilities and recreation programs for children, adults, families and senior citizens. The park district s operations are governed by elected commissioners. It oversees various activities and events of adult recreation center, early care and education academy, and music and performing arts academy. Norridge Park District also hosts arts and crafts competitions for children, youth sports, special recreational activities for residents with disabilities, fitness programs, and concerts and movies. Its early care and preschool academy is approved by the Department of Children and Family Services, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and National After School Association. Additionally, Norridge Park District provides various sports programs, such as cheerleading, baseball, tennis, badminton, swimming, soccer and softball.
