After graduating top of my class at Columbia, a bank gave me an exciting job offer. However, my compensation wasn't comparable to those of my top-performing peers. My cousin, an award-winning recruiter at Robert Half, told me I didn't have grounds to negotiate. After conducting some research, I opted to follow my gut and ask for what I was worth. And...I was SUCCESSFUL! I increased my base by 10k, got a 5k sign-on bonus and a jazzier title. Word spread and friends (and their friends) began enlisting my help! People I helped were elated with their results! I continued this coaching
