National Black Prosecutors
The National Black Prosecutors Association (NBPA) is the only professional membership organization focused on advancing Blacks as prosecutors across all levels of government. Established in 1983, the NBPA consists of chief and line prosecutors, law students, former prosecutors, and law enforcement personnel, fostering education and leadership in the legal profession through intensive training and networking opportunities.
In addition to its core mission, the National Black Prosecutors Foundation (NBPF), a nonprofit entity, provides scholarships for law students and funds fellowships for interns at prosecutors' offices nationwide. The NBPA is committed to increasing representation, mentoring aspiring lawyers, and addressing inequalities within the legal system while celebrating the accomplishments of its trailblazing leaders.
