The Mount Pulaski Courthouse State Historic Site, a beautifully restored National Historic Landmark, is one of only two remaining courthouses where Abraham Lincoln practiced law during his tenure on the Eighth Judicial Circuit. Built between 1847 and 1848, this historic site serves as a museum, showcasing the courthouse's 1850s appearance and offering visitors a glimpse into Lincoln's legal work through its preserved courtroom, jury room, and clerk's office.

Home to various annual events, such as the Lincoln Day Celebration and Civil War Days, the courthouse provides an engaging experience that highlights the rich history of the era. Through donations, the site continues to support educational programs and restoration projects aimed at preserving this significant piece of American history.

Friendly staff and an interesting site with the history of Abraham Lincoln. Most unique thing is you can walk on the original flooring where Lincoln practiced law!
