Meridian Senior High School

Central A&M High School, located in Moweaqua, Ill., offers various academic and extracurricular activities to children. The curriculum offered at the school includes agriculture, industrial technology, art, mathematics, business education, music, English, science, foreign language, social science, and family and consumer sciences. The school also offers a library and media center to support the teachers and students. The sports activities offered include boy s baseball, basketball, softball, football, volleyball, boy s and girl s track, cross-country, and cheerleading. The school also runs clubs, including art club, National Honor Society, Spanish club and student council. National Honor Society serves honor students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. The student council participates in the organization of projects in the school and the community, such as homecoming, blood drives and fund raisers.

Argenta-Oreana High School is a part of the Argenta-Oreana School District comprising of approximately 76 square miles of territory in the Macon and DeWitt counties of Illinois. The school district is organized by attendance centers and the high school is located in Argenta, Ill. It has a pupil teacher ratio of 15:1. Students must earn 26 credits for graduation, courses in government, health, consumer education and consumer education, English, math, American history, social studies, art, music, foreign language and vocational education. Physical education is compulsory. Students can participate in extra-curricular activities such as in cheerleading, soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball and track. Additional opportunities are available in scholastic bowl, the high school newspaper, yearbook, student council and drama.
