Franklin-Jefferson Special Education plans, coordinates and implements special educational resources and instructional services for all member public school district students. Its members include Mt. Vernon Grade Schools, Waltonville High School, Mt. Vernon High School, Kenneth Martin Center and Woodlawn High School. The district has an assistive technology team, which provides information and training to assist individual students and provides support and instruction for faculty and staff members. Franklin-Jefferson Special Education purchases and lease assistive technology devices for individuals with disabilities, as well as provides training and technical assistance. In addition, the district organizes several meetings, workshops and seminars. Franklin-Jefferson Special Education is located in Benton, Ill.
