Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, IL is a sprawling 130-acre park that offers a variety of amenities and recreational opportunities for visitors. Originally a farmstead, the park now features 80 acres of recreated tallgrass prairie, paved and unpaved walking trails, organic garden plots, a sensory garden, and the district's largest play structure, PrairiePlay.
Since 1977, Meadowbrook Park has been a collaborative effort between the Urbana Park District, Champaign County Audubon Society, and volunteers to restore and maintain its natural areas. With three miles of paved trails, the park is an ideal destination for walking, jogging, inline skating, and cycling, providing a peaceful retreat within the Illinois native landscape.
