Our laboratory has received the national accreditation by the College of American Pathologists. Laboratory tests are a helpful tool to diagnose, treat and confirm a disease or other medical problem, as well as offer a baseline for monitoring any changes that take place in the future. How to Prepare for a Lab Test When your physican orders a specific lab test for you, he or she will give you the proper directions in order to prepare for the test. Many tests do not require any special instructions prior to the tests. Others require preparation, such as fasting. Ask your physician or nurse for any specific preparation that you need to make prior to your lab test.
