Everything you hope for from a hole-the-wall smallest town cafe. The menu is handwritten and photocopied. Open 6 am-2pm. Closed Monday. Wood floor worn from 100 years of customers. A little mix of...

We always eat here during the Spoon River Drive....it's one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever been in. Friendly servers, very good food, just a nice little cafe...the world needs more places...

My husband and I are from the Chicago suburbs but were in Avon buying some barn wood. We were so happy to stumble upon this cafe. The owner, Mary was so sweet and hospitable and extended her hours...
