Lubaa

Lubaa is a non-for-profit charitable organization located in the Englewood Community on the south side of Chicago. Their mission is to provide housing for homeless, mentally challenged women in a safe, supervised environment. They operate out of a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house where they can accommodate up to five single women, offering counseling and instruction for a socially productive life.

For the past four years, Lubaa has been supporting their cause through community donations, out-of-pocket contributions from board members, and quarterly fundraising events. They do not rely on external funding and receive referrals through word of mouth, social workers, churches, and mental hospitals.
