At Lovett's, you'll feel like you're part of the family. We take great pride in our fun and friendly atmosphere so take a seat and enjoy our family recipes. From snoots to wings with our famous hot wing sauce, our down home soul food is filled with flavor and love. Just make sure and leave room for dessert! Lovett's Soul Food restaurant was actually born out of a fundraiser to help cover the cost of our huge family reunions. As we began selling our home-cooked meals to raise money, our family soon realized that there was a huge demand for home-cooked soul food in Alton. We started small with just a walk-up window in 2014, but quickly realized that wasn't going to cut it. We needed more space. The demand for fresh, southern soul food required a bigger kitchen and prep area so we moved into a dine-in restaurant a year later. We've been cooking up a soul food storm ever since.
