History
Originally a warehouse with gravel floors and a gaping hole where the skylight is now, in 2008 Cher and Steve Garrett rehabbed the space, intending to use it as a studio for Steve Garrett Photography. However, they were soon swamped with interest to host private events and inadvertently helped start the trend of photo-studios-turned-event-venues. A short 18-months and over 100 events later, Loft on Lake is what it is today: Chicago's premier destination for any event, perfect for creative urbanites seeking the next alternative experience.
