History

The Visitor Center is managed by the Canal Corridor Association.

Specialties

The Lock 16 Visitor Center is located in the Lock 16 Cafe & Gift Shop. The Visitor Center provides local and regional history. Brochures for local attractions, shopping, and boarding. You are also able to book a historical boat tour on the LaSalle Canal Boat, and go on self-guided walking and driving tours. Located a half mile away is the I&M Canal trail with fishing, bird watching, historic silhouettes and a pavilion.
