Established in 1983, Syr-Tech s original capacities include stamping, coil processing and fabricating. In 1991, Syr-Tech expanded its capacities to include steel perforating through the purchase of a perforating company. The company acquired a roll-forming company in 1996. Syr-Tech s roll-forming department also has stamping capabilities. Its customers come from industries such as agricultural grain storage and drying, filtration, point-of-purchase display making, commercial office, construction, architecture, noise control, lighting appliances, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Syr-Tech operates from a 40,000-square-foot building located in Glendale Heights, Ill.

J.P. Simons & Company Our company was founded in 1919 by Joseph P. Simons Sr. Joe began his career in the industry working for Commonwealth Edison. In 1914, he partnered with Blackwell Electric and, soon after, bought them out and began J.P. Simons & Co. The company originally sold small appliances but after the industrial revolution, began distributing cable, conduit, wiring devices and hundreds of other products. Joe was one of the founders of the Electric Golf Club which today has over 200 members. With Mr. Simons' untimely death, the company was left in the capable hands of his sons Joe Jr. and Walter. Joe Jr. was very active in the industry serving as a board member of NAED, past president of The Lake Michigan Club, Electric Golf Club, and founder of the Little Wheels Club.
