History

As a iVenture UIUC accelerator startup (iV6), Karma Trade was founded by a team of passionate students and professionals. Originally, we hosted swap events in the local region, quickly realizing our community needed a central hub for clothing swaps. We opened our swap shop in August 2020, right in the midst of the pandemic. Since then, we've recirculated over 5,000 clothing items and helped over 400 people rejuvenate their wardrobes.
