Joliet Police Department offers security and surveillance services to enhance safety and quality of life of the residents of city of Joliet, Ill. The department is organized into four distinct divisions, including operations, technical services, investigations, and quality assurance, each of which oversee a different part of police work. It specializes in offering a wide range of services, such as law enforcement first response, investigations emergency medical first response, public safety dispatch, clerical and administrative services in support of public safety. The department provides a written evaluation addressing the locks, lighting, windows, doors and safety precautions for the residents. Joliet Police Department provides services for the community 24-hours, seven-days a week. The department also sponsors a free child fingerprint program.
