Joe's Barber Shop has been a staple in McHenry, IL for over 56 years, founded by Joseph B. Stanek in 1963. Known for its skylights that provide ample natural light, Joe's Barber Shop has been a beloved establishment in the community, with Joe himself serving as a full-time barber for over 45 years and even serving as the Mayor of McHenry from 1973-1985.

After Joe's retirement, Bill Bialachowski took over as the full-time barber, earning the respect and admiration of all his patrons. Bill, a passionate Cubs fan, would occasionally interrupt haircuts to listen to nail-biting games on the radio. With a close-knit family life and a love for fishing and bowling, Bill's legacy lives on even after his passing in 2018.
