Jackie Sowards

History

I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and always had a passion for being creative, making people happy, looking and thinking outside the box. My whole life I dreamed of doing something that made this world we live in more beautiful, the way I saw it. It was never clear on what I wanted to do other than knowing it made me happy to make others happy. My senior year of high school I was in a near fatal car accident and fractured my neck in two places. I was told most people with this severe of an injury are eithier paralyzed or they would have passed on. This was a life changing experience that changed my life, at 17, forever. Going to school for hair, was a in the meantime job for me. I had no idea, that all of this was meant to happen for a reason. That experience, at 17, is the reason I became a hair stylist. My love for life, people, happiness and bringing the inner beauty out in my clients is why I am always striving to be better yet know there is no such thing as the best.
