Faith Christian School, located in Lafayette, Ind., provides students educational opportunities in grades prekindergarten through 12, and enrolls more than 800 children. As a ministry of Faith Baptist Church it combines its educational program with religious instruction, and assists parents in training their children both academically and spiritually in order to serve effectively in their home, church, and community. Established in 1997, its elementary school program covers a wide range of subjects and experiences that help prepare a child for success. It introduces reading through a fun, hands-on activity and mathematics and the other subjects are also taught through hands-on and teacher-directed activities. It provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science, in junior and high school. Faith Christian School also offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities.

Country Health is a nonprofit, community-owned nursing center. It is managed by Heritage Enterprises and is located in Gifford, Ill. The center features a chapel, courtyard, activity room, barbershop and therapy department. Its activity room is equipped with an oven and stove for residents to use. Country Health offers nursing and respite and hospice care services. Its staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants and physicians. The center also conducts a range of recreational and social activities, such as ice-cream socials, musical concerts and painting classes. Country Health additionally provides Medicare-certified programs, as well as expanded services for assisted living and retirement community residents.
