Highland Police Department

The Highland Police Department works to prevent crime, preserve peace, and protect the rights, lives and property of the city residents. It maintains a communication center that responds to calls for police, fire and medical emergency services. The department conducts National Night Out, neighborhood watch, vacation house and business check, chaplain and fingerprint identification programs. The Highland Police Department supports the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which teaches students to avoid peer pressure temptations and drugs. It also employs several juvenile, bicycle patrol, school resource and elderly service officers. In addition, the department has a community service unit that handles cases related to animal nuisance and parking law enforcement. The Highland Police Department is located in Highland, Ill.
