With enforcement offices serving various states and territories, OCR facilitates the filing of complaints and offers technical assistance to help prevent civil rights issues.

OCR also engages with students, parents, and education institutions, encouraging communication through digital means to streamline inquiries and support. The office plays a critical role in addressing national policy questions related to civil rights in education, as well as fulfilling requests for information and resources not available online.
