ChildServ was originally established as the Methodist Deaconess Orphanage in 1894. The Agency was renamed the Lake Bluff/Chicago Homes for Children and later became ChildServ. Since its founding, ChildServ has played a key role in child welfare services in the Chicago area. It annually provides care and nurturing to nearly 3,800 children and their families across Cook, Lake and DuPage counties.
