HistoryTumba Training Academy began training youth in the western suburbs a few years ago when Coach Bobo moved to the area. He brought with him a training program and philosophy which he gradually introduced to his club players and other players in the surrounding area. Today Tumba has grown to offer skills camps, special events, group training, club training, and private training.SpecialtiesTumba Training Academy strives to build strong, competitive soccer players by sharpening techniques and providing athletes with a better understanding of the game. We do this in a fun,yet educational environment with the primary goal of supporting and enhancing the player's club experience. Our curriculum is age-specific and level-specific. Topics include the following: Principles of defense Principles of attack Dribbling Passing and receiving Systems of play Positional play Set pieces Ball control and manipulation Finishing and shooting Mental toughness Character development Private training or One-on-One training gives our staff more opportunities to correct technical imperfections, and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of a player. It also allows our staff the ability to concentrate on the specific demands of the individual player. This environment is perfect for players who need intense, personal and focused training with flexible scheduling. We dedicate special 1-on-1 to meet the player's development goals, to work on any skill or set of skills to quickly improve each player's performance on the field. We strive not just to improve technique but to also build each player's confidence and enjoyment of the game. Our small group training is similar to our private training program. We generally accommodate between 2 to 6 players for our small group training.Each player will perform the same set of exercises and drills under the watchful eyes of our trainers
