Vanessa Stubbs, MD, is an otolaryngologist at Rush who specializes in head and neck oncologic surgery and reconstruction. Stubbs treats patients with benign and malignant tumors or growths of the head and neck. These include oral and throat lesions, salivary gland lesions, thyroid nodules and cancer, neck masses and skin cancers of the head and neck. She also has training in office-based ultrasound guided needle biopsy, transoral robotic assisted surgery and microvascular reconstruction. Stubbs believes in focusing on each patient as an individual and discussing treatment options that are specialized to them. She emphasizes the patient’s own understanding of their disease process and the treatment options available to improve quality of life and survival.

Matthew Dixon, MD, FACS, FSSO, is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology, who is board-certified in both general surgery and complex general surgical oncology. He specializes in complex surgeries to manage both cancerous and non-cancerous conditions that affect the liver, pancreas and bile ducts. These include conditions such as liver cancer, metastatic tumors of the liver, pancreas cancer, pancreatic cysts, neuroendocrine tumors and bile duct cancer. As part of a multidisciplinary cancer care team, Dixon works closely with his colleagues to provide excellent, individualized care to each of his patients.
