Grotesque Burlesque Figure Drawing

History

Grotesque Burlesque is a weekly figure drawing meetup group hosted at Ars Memoria Tattoo and Art gallery every Thursday at 7:30pm (doors at 7). We are a public group of artists of every level who have been meeting weekly to draw from a live nude model since July of 2013. We're serious about what we do, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We encourage casual conversation during our sessions, and there is often a lot of laughter and (sometimes bawdy) humor from both the artists and the models. We like to have fun! We welcome everyone, and our group ranges from professional illustrators to those without any drawing background at all. Our only rules are that the conversation remains respectful towards everyone, especially our models, and that everyone in attendance must participate - no spectators are allowed.
