Specialties

We're a family-owned business located in the Chicago, Mt. Greenwood area. Our success is totally dependent on what our neighbors and previous clients think of our work. That is why we approach each inspection with the desire to make it especially insightful for clients, with the hope that the word spreads about our efforts. Gerard McCraw, the owner of the business and primary inspector, offers a hands-on, property inspection experience for clients along with an honest and unbiased approach to the home inspection process. These qualifications separate GRM Home Inspections, Ltd. from other inspection companies by delivering accurate condition assessments based on inspection experience and providing potential property owners with the information necessary to make an informed decision. Prior to Gerard's position as an inspector, he worked as a construction foreman and carpenter for over twenty years. This experience provided a solid foundation and understanding of construction methods, building materials and mechanical systems that many home inspectors do not possess. Knowing how something is built is as important as knowing how it should function. GRM Home Inspections, Ltd. charges reasonable fees to inspect single and multi-family homes, townhouses, condos, and commercial buildings. We also provide practical advice to sellers to help them prepare their property for sale. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality inspection experience available.
