Our studio was among the first to make the transition from black and white photography to being exclusively color in 1963. Gravemann was among the first to install a studio color lab in the Midwest, and are now embracing the newest digital imaging technology. Both have earned the Master of Photography Degree from the Professional Photographers of America, Inc, a degree given for creative and photographic excellence. A limited number of photography studios in the United States have both father & son awarded this prestigious honor. Although Ralph is still active in the business, son Kevin L. Gravemann, M. Photog. is now President and primary photographer specializing in both portraits and weddings. He is a former president of the Professional Photographers Association of Greater St. Louis and the Southern Illinois Art League. His photographs have won three KODAK Gallery Awards and numerous awards at Illinois State and the Professional Photographers of America print competitions.
