Gent, Justin J MD

Justin Gent, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified physician specializing in Sports Medicine, with special focus in open and arthroscopic complex knee and shoulder surgery, as well as patellar instability procedures. Dr. Gent chose to pursue a career in medicine on behalf of his combined passions in science and making a positive impact in the lives of others. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago, completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals, and earned his fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Southern California Kaiser Permanente Medical Group.Dr. Gent enjoys caring for patients of all ages and offers a variety of operative and non-operative care solutions to ensure each individual's needs are met. These offerings may include the use of medications, injections, braces, Physical Therapy, and when necessary, orthopedic surgery.Patients of Dr. Gent feel comfortable and right at home because he treats each as if they were a member of his own family. By putting himself in his patients' shoes, he is able to understand their needs and goals. To create the best customized treatment, Dr. Gent follows his patients through every step of their treatment plan, offering support and assisting them in recovery to exceed their goals.Dr. Gent enjoys giving back to his community by providing care to local high school athletic teams and feels that it is a privilege to care for young athletes who work hard to be the best they can be at their sport. In his spare time, Dr. Gent enjoys being active by playing basketball with friends, exercising, going on family bike rides and playing with his kids in the backyard.

Harpreet S. Basran, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine physician specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle. A Chicagoland native, Dr. Basran completed fellowships at the University of Chicago and Cornell’s Hospital for Special Surgery. He treats both non-operative and surgical orthopedic conditions, including ligament injuries, meniscal and labral tears, and rotator cuff injuries, offering advanced treatments such as stem cell therapy. Known for his compassionate, patient-focused care, he has worked with the Chicago Blackhawks, U.S. World Cup Soccer, and local schools and colleges.

Priyesh Patel, MD, is a fellowship trained, dual board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity and microvascular surgery. He sees adult and pediatric patients with acute injuries and other orthopaedic conditions. Dr. Patel was raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and enjoys seeing and guiding his patients through the full recovery process so that patients can enjoy life to the fullest. A committed lifelong learner, Dr. Patel received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed his fellowship training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. He began his practice in 2010. Today, Dr. Patel treats adults and children with a wide variety of conditions including carpal tunnel, arthritis, fractures and more. He brings compassion, empathy, and a commitment to help improve the lives of his patients. He feels it is a tremendous feeling to help patients regain their function by listening, educating and providing reassurance. Dr. Patel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Chicago Society for Surgery of the Hand. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his four children, following Chicago sports teams and NCAA basketball, and golfing.
