The Flagg Township Historical Society, established in 1968, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving the history of Flagg Township. Founded by Franklin Kruger, the Society restored the old City and Town Hall to serve as the Historical Society Museum, housing thousands of artifacts, photos, and documents that reflect the local history of Rochelle and Flagg Township.

The Society's mission is to stimulate interest in local history through education, research, and preservation for the benefit of the public, both today and in the future. By partnering with the City of Rochelle and the Rochelle Park District, the Museum actively engages in community projects and events to enhance the historical awareness of residents.

Very nice little area museum. Local history is well exhibited. Love all the tools in the basement. Old jail is really fun to see. I always enjoy my visits here.
