Fatima Prayer Community

The Fatima Prayer Community is a non-profit organization based in Des Plaines, IL, that was established in 1982 by Sister Joseline D. Valdes SSSF and a group of Americans of Filipino descent. Their mission is to deepen the faith and spiritual life of families through the praying of the rosary and sharing scripture reflections, while also building a strong Christian community through prayer, love, and mutual support. The organization consists of thirteen units, each with a Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima that travels to sponsors' homes for prayer and reflection, and they also engage in fundraising projects to provide assistance to those in need in the Philippines and the United States. The Fatima Prayer Community holds regular activities at their Our Lady of Fatima Center, including mass, council meetings, retreats, celebrations, and group prayer meetings. They also offer spiritual and psychological counseling, scripture reflections, and social gatherings for seniors. Additionally, the organization supports retired nuns and victims of calamities, both in the United States and abroad. Through their ongoing projects and fundraising efforts, they aim to continue improving their center and providing assistance to those in need.
