History

As a Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE), Ex-Cell is operated by Janet Kaiser. Ex-Cell was established in 1933 by Janet's grandfather, Joe Goldberg. Mr. Goldberg was an inventor, manufacturer and distributor of various products that served the Motion Picture Industry, from Carbon Arc Lamps and projectors to vending machines and other theater supplies. In the 1930's Joe started Ex-Cell on Chicago's Movie Row area in the vicinity of Wabash Avenue and Roosevelt Road, initially manufacturing
