We're Ethiopian Diamond Restaurant & Bar, and we've been a premier Ethiopian restaurant in Chicago, IL since 1996. We specialize in authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Diamond was a success! I've been wanting to try Ethiopian food for a while and have heard from multiple people Diamond is the best in the city. We got a meat sampler and a vegetarian sampler....

Very simple aesthetics but great time trying Ethiopian food for the first time. Went with the tea and the vegetarian platter. Enjoyed the food and the service.

The restaurant is in the center of Ethiopian village. It's a bit pricey for the portion. You get tons of bread but not enough toppings. I got the vegetarian samplers and it only came with 7...

I'm generally a carnivore, but this platter could persuade me. Filled with beans, greens and more - I loved the communal dining style with a sourdough flat bread like nothing I've ever had...
