History
Elise received a dual Honors BA in Music/French and International Studies from St. Louis University in 2002. In 2006, she completed her MM in Vocal Performance at Washington University where her studies included vocal pedagogy and four semesters of a singing actor's workshop. Elise began teaching privately immediately after completion of her Masters degree and taught applied voice at St. Louis University for 3 semesters before moving to Chicago in the fall of 2012. She currently works as a teaching artist for Old Town School of Folk Music and the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Specialties
Elise teaches private voice lessons to children, high school students and adults in her private studio in Logan Square. She is focused on creating a comfortable music-making environment so that students can explore their potential at a pace that matches their goals. Elise also sings at private events and wedding ceremonies in churches, chapels, gardens and living rooms in the Chicago area. She appears alone, with a pianist or a combo, or with her vocal trio: The Irving Sisters.
