Eclipse Theater Company
Eclipse Theatre Company, founded in 1992 by DePaul Theatre students, dedicated itself to the production of new works and later focused on a single playwright each season, inspired by New York's Signature Theatre Company. Over its 30 years, Eclipse produced 28 seasons of plays featuring renowned playwrights and garnered 67 Jeff Nominations, securing 12 awards, including 2 Best Production Awards.
As the only theatre in the Midwest committed to exploring the works of one playwright per season, Eclipse also facilitated a range of events, including playwright scholar series, in-school performances, and public readings. The company expressed heartfelt gratitude to its patrons, donors, and artists for their support, which contributed to its influential role in the vibrant legacy of the Chicago Theatre Community.
