About Eating Recovery Center Northbrook The mental health crisis among our nation’s youth is no secret. The number of children and adolescents hospitalized for suicidal thoughts or attempts has more than doubled since 2008. And, young people ages 15-24 with anorexia have 10 times the risk of dying compared to their same age peers. Our treatment center in Northbrook, Illinois, provides comprehensive child and adolescent treatment to meet this growing need and help prevent the cycle of crisis intervention at hospitals and emergency rooms. Accredited by the Joint Commission, ERC Illinois operates numerous treatment centers in the Chicago area including downtown Chicago, Northbrook, Evanston, Oak Park and Oak Brook.
