Dwight D Eisenhower High School

Located in Blue Island, Ill., Dwight D. Eisenhower High School is a part of the Community High School District 218. The school provides education to students in grades nine through 12. It offers courses in art, business and driver s education, English, family and consumer science, foreign languages, health and industrial technology. It additionally offers college preparatory courses in music, mathematics, science and social studies. It also offers a various educational programs, such as Junior Reserve officers Training Corps, and physical and special education programs. The school has a learning resource center providing Internet access. Its industrial technology curriculum includes courses in production, construction, auto mechanics, computer networking and designing, electricity, electronics, television production, and architectural and engineering design drafting. The foreign language courses offered by the school include honors in Spanish and advanced placement courses in French. It also offers various social, interscholastic, music and leadership clubs, such as the National Honor Society, Mathletes, Scholastic Bowl, Youth in Government, show choir, and art club.
