Dorris Intermediate School

Collinsville Intermediate School offers academic programs to more than 900 students in grades five and six. Its curriculum emphasizes subjects, such as math, reading and writing. It also offers science, social studies and language arts. The school provides a variety of special programs that include Title I, speech, band, chorus and intramural activities. Collinsville Intermediate School offers physical education, music and keyboarding lessons to students. Its parent-teacher association sponsors a variety of educationally-centered community nights throughout the year, including an international night, science fair, scholastic book fair and family reading night. It also provides participation of students in social activities, such as skating parties and dances. The school is located in Collinsville, Ill., and is part of the Collinsville Community School District 10.
