HistoryHorse-Drawn Productions was started by Chicago engineer Eric Yoder on the northwest side of the city. Eric learned music and earned his BA in central Ohio before moving to Chicago to enter the music industry. When he began his business, the name and logo for Horse-Drawn Productions were chosen as a tribute to Eric's Amish heritage. Far removed from the lifestyle of his Amish father and grandparents, Eric has built a state of the art studio to accommodate the most modern musician's needs. In 2009, HDP acquired a new building on the west side and began construction on a 5700 square foot space for expansion. The opening one year later boasts a large control room and live room to accommodate a full band. There is also a second set of budget-friendly recording rooms, a tech room to provide computer and instrument repair, and rehearsal space for rent.
