The Davis Fire Protection District, formerly known as the Davis Fire Department, offers a range of fire safety programs and services. Established in 1929, it provides a variety of fire protection, emergency assistance and accident extrication services. The department maintains a fleet of pumpers, trucks, tankers and other fire safety apparatus. It serves more than 2,700 residents in an area of over 28 square miles. The Davis Fire Department is a member of the Southern Wisconsin & Northern Illinois Fire Rescue Association and the Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts.
