In 1920, Louis Darvin walked from door-to-door selling furniture. Customers selected and purchased items using catalog pictures he collected from Chicago-area furniture manufacturers. Darvin and his son, David, opened their first store in the early 1940s. Darvin Furniture is recognized as one of the top 100 furniture stores in America, having one of Chicagoland s best selections of brand name furniture.
