Youth and Family Counseling, established in 1962, is a private, nonprofit social service agency that offers counseling, education and support services to people who live and work in Lake County, Ill. It also offers therapy services to individual adults, children and adolescents, as well as to couples and families. The agency serves as a training agency for students from professional schools of social work and psychology. Youth and Family Counseling is a member of the United Way of Lake County and is located in Libertyville, Ill. It addresses a variety of problems, such as depression, self-esteem, relationship conflicts, family distress, single parenting, abuse and trauma, anxiety, school adjustment and separation.
