The CTA is not a thing of glamour, but as far as lines go (I've frequented Blue, red and orange previously), this is the most scenic of routes into the city! Lots of older and new trendy buildings...

Green Line will take 20 minutes from Harlem / Lake to loop. Great station. There is a Starbucks, and Dunkin Donuts across the street from this station. Cheapest way to go from and to Downtown Chicago.
