A more than 500-bed acute care facility, Wabash Valley Hospital has been operational for over 50 years. Located in West Lafayette, Ind., it is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Indiana Department of Human Services. The hospital employs more than 500 medical staff, including psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, therapeutic recreation specialists, dietitians, pharmacists, and case manager. Wabash Valley Hospital offers a wide variety of services, such as inpatient and outpatient care, community wellness and behavioral health programs, home health aides, primary care, cardiac rehabilitation, and long-term care and hospice services. The hospital also offers treatments for adrenal gland cancer, HIV and AIDS, alcohol and chemical dependency, arthritis, ear, nose and throat disorders, bariatric weight loss, and bone and soft tissue sarcoma. Additionally, it provides skilled nursing facilities, women s and infants' health services, cancer education and support programs, pulmonary rehabilitation, laboratory services, pain management, childbirth classes, and community lectures and screenings.
