The Country House, founded in 1922, is a family restaurant in Clarendon Hills, Ill. The restaurant offers lunch, dinner and late night meals to its customers in the west suburban area. It is best known for its country burger and has been voted one of Chicago's favorite burgers by the readers of the Chicago Tribune. The Country House also menu features hickory-smoked ribs, charbroiled steaks, fresh salads, pastas and daily specials. The restaurant offers a full-service bar by the fireside that provides a list of selected beers and wines. The Country House also has branches in Geneva and Isle, Ill.

Our neighbors have recommended Country House to us for the last year+ and we just tried it. Not sure what the raves were about, however. I got the Carne Asada and my husband got a Chicken...

Quality of food isn't what it used to be. My daughter was very sick after eating here, unsure if it's food poisoning. Food wasn't cooked properly, burgers were nearly raw when supposed to be...
