Ascension School serves more than 500 students in prekindergarten through grade eight and is a Catholic community that focuses on incorporating Christian values and academics in students through the integration of traditional and modern teaching methods. Its curriculum includes many academic subjects, such as mathematics, reading, language arts, science and social studies. Its students also participate in gym, art, music and library activities. Ascension School organizes numerous sports programs, such as soccer, cross country, basketball, volleyball and track. The school, located in Oak Park, Ill., conducts a variety of special education, cultural, and health and safety programs throughout the year.
