History
Established in 1998, Dr. Wilke founded and owns Compassionate Counseling, a private practice dedicated to those who may have a difficult time being seen or heard or feel forced to live in the margins of our society. In 2000, Compassionate Counseling began the first-ever professionally facilitated support group for transgender persons in Illinois. Since then, Dr. Wilke has become a welcome resource for trainings at schools, churches, corporations and hospitals as well as a frequent presenter at seminars in Canada and the United States.
